8:30 AM - 3:15 PM    Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR - Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR (November)
This program equips kids with the skills they need to stay safe when home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The class features engaging games and role-playing exercises. Participants will practice rescue techniques, such as choking rescue, using manikins. Class includes lunch, a safe sitter bag, and a student handbook. 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM    Safe @ Home - Safe @ Home (November)
Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. This class will teach you the basics of needle felting, including the techniques for creating a 3D shape from wool and tips for attaching pieces together and smoothing the surface. You will make a snowman sculpture with a hat and scarf. This is a beginning class in which all materials will be provided.
